HTC One (E8) reaches 50,000 sales in just 15 minutes

Today HTC is proudly announced that the One (E8) has been doing very well, sales-wise. The handset that was introduced at the beginning of this month is currently only available in China, but over there people seem to love it.

That's the only explanation, really, for HTC being able to sell no less than 50,000 units of the One (E8) in just 15 minutes.

When we're talking about flash sale records like these, the company involved is usually Xiaomi - but now HTC is getting in on the action too.

That said, it's pretty easy to understand the appeal of the One (E8). With this device, you sacrifice the metal construction of the One (M8), as well as the UltraPixel-packed Duo Camera, but everything else is straight-up high-end, at least as much as the Samsung Galaxy S5.

So the HTC One (E8) is a true plastic-made competitor to Samsung's flagship, and, perhaps most importantly, it's a lot cheaper. The One (E8) starts at 2,799 yuan, which means around $449. That's almost half the price of the One (M8) or the Galaxy S5 in China. Hopefully the One (E8) will make it to other markets soon.
