Google launches Android One, phones to be priced at 6,399 rupees


Google launched on Monday the first smartphones powered by its Android One operating system, pricing them at around 6,399 rupees ($105) to capture the low-cost segement of the world's fastest growing smartphone market.

Google launched the phones in partnership with Indian mobile phone makers Micromax, Karbonn and Spice Mobiles.

Google says it plans to expand Android One to Indonesia, Phillippines and other South Asian countries by the end of 2014 and in more countries in 2015.

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are up for pre-order on Apple online store



The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus will be shortly available for pre-order on the Apple Online Store in the US. If you have been waiting to purchase the phone, now is the time.

The store is still down at the time of writing this but will soon be up with the new phones in stock. If you want to buy the phone, you better hurry up before they go out of stock in the matter of seconds.

EE, Vodafone, and Three UK announce iPhone 6 pre-orders


UK carriers EE, Vodafone, and Three UK have announced the offered pre-order of the  new iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus to buyers before it officially goes on sale on September 19. Pre- Orders will be started on September 12, a full week before the official launch.

The new phones will also be available from other UK carriers, such as O2, giffgaff, Virgin, and TalkMobile, but others haven't announced availability yet.

No carrier prices have been announced so far although you can get them unlocked for £539, £619, and £699 for the iPhone 6 and £619, £699, and £789 for the iPhone 6 Plus for the 16, 64 and 128GB models, respectively.
